An initial home consultation starts at £150. This typically includes a background discussion of how feeding has been going, oral assessment of your baby, and tailored planning.
Tongue tie release, also called division, costs £70 in addition to the home consultation fee. Therefore an initial consultation including tongue tie division, costs £220 total. If you have twins both needing tongue tie release, the procedure cost of £70 applies for each baby.
Follow up visits are charged at £70 each. This includes a reassessment of feeding, oral assessment, and a repeat tongue tie release if indicated. In about 2-3% of cases, tongue tie can recur and a repeat procedure is indicated.
There are occasions where I do not carry out the tongue tie release during the initial consultation, and return at a later date to do so, acting in the baby's and family's best interests. This would incur an additional follow up cost of £140 (£70 follow up fee plus £70 procedure fee).
